In the technology and communication - abundant generation, the duration of social and cultural phenomena shrinks with time. The present is examined in the shade of the past and symbolizes the advent of the nearest future.

The series of works “Vanishing Images” attempt to convey an informative – artistic document reflecting social and human aspects of material and spiritual life happening over the territory of Lina Golan`s art.

The artist’s strategy is to construct the picture in temporal, material – processing,

perspective, representing the present – day situation as an archeological finding.

The representative types used for creating the picture descriptions merge the influences of ancient cultures – Egyptian and Aegean.

Drawing through attentive observation, pure from any technological facility, rich in repressed colorfulness typical for ancient frescos, unique composition, imbuing the entire series, constructs symmetric optical division, frequent in ancient Egyptian art,

highlighting the recollections of additional images, national flag.

Marginal optical lines with ornamental decorative images leave central space, confining naturalistic description free. Similarity and difference in contents and in shapes create historic, cultural and artistic expansion and succession.
